The Dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of your finances for the active tax year.
The summary section shows your total income, total expenses, and net profit for the year so far. These figures update automatically whenever you add or delete a record.
The quarterly breakdown table shows income and expenses split across the four MTD quarters:
Use this table to check your figures before submitting each quarterly update to HMRC.
The active tax year is shown at the top of the page. It is set automatically when you add your first record. All records must fall within the same tax year — the app will warn you if you try to add a record outside it.
Your records are saved automatically in your browser. However, clearing your browser data will erase them. Use the Save to Excel button regularly to download a backup. To restore a previous session, use Load progress and select your exported file.
Use this tab to log all income received during the tax year.
If you receive regular income such as a monthly salary, tick Make recurring and configure the frequency:
A confirmation will list all dates successfully added once complete.
Use the quarter dropdown in the table header to filter records by MTD quarter. Use the Notes filter to search by employer or description. Click Clear Filters to reset.
Click the delete icon on any row to remove a single record. Use Delete All to clear all income records at once — this cannot be undone.
Use this tab to log allowable business expenses. Only the claimable portion of each expense is counted towards your totals.
Selecting Car Travel switches the form to mileage mode:

Works the same as recurring income — tick Make recurring, set the frequency and end date, and the app will generate entries for each occurrence.
Filter the expense table by quarter, category, or notes using the controls in the table header. Click Clear Filters to reset all filters.
